I may get this game tomorrow. May not. But if I do, I want a cactuar in my party. I've tried looking around but I haven't been able to find confirmation that you can get one as a recruitable party member. Does anybody know? If you can, where at in the game can you get him so I know what to look out for.

There are several different types of cactuar that you can get. You have the regular cactuar. Then their are a few different varieties
Excellent. Any chance there is a sombrero accessory? It would go nicely with a cactuar, methinks.

I went ahead and bought this game. Thanks for telling me about the cactuar. I don't think not having a cactuar would have been a deal-breaker, but I've always liked the little dudes. Still hope there is a sombrero for them to wear.

The strat guide lists quite a few hats, but I don't see a sombrero among them. However, there is a red mage's chapeau. Pimp hat FTW. --- GT and PSN: HeyAFunkyFish Final Fantasy XI: Xelha, Odin Server (Retired)

Do any of them have any equivalent of 1000 needles?
I can imagine them having really good atk later in the game, I hope they don't just run away like in FF13 and leave Serah & Noel to take the beating... --- 'The best things in life are Free' - Anybody who hasn't played Gears of War 3.
