Caius sends Noel and Sera to their respective dream worlds, where they are to experience just the stuff their heart wants, the stuff they want to happen and to be true. So, Sera dreams of Lightning and Snow being there, her and Snow being happily married and everything is dinky-dory.
But what about Noel's Dream? His goal was to make a better life for his era, to be together with Yule and all that. How come his dream world is then so depressing, terrifying and everything un-dream-like as it could be? In his world, everything looks weird, people keep disappearing.... why is his dream world not happy, too, where Yule survives and she aid Caius are having that happy birthday party they planned?

I think it was, until Serah showed up. Stuff didnt start getting too depressing until Serah started following him. Before he was hanging with Caius and Yeul, which he was content with. It wasn't until Caius left and 'his' Yeul died that he wanted to change the timeline and save her --- Light sounds tough. Claire sounds sexy.
So you're saying that everything went to s***s cause of Sera?
In Noel's dream world, yes. Just like in Serah's version, everything seemed great until you chose to have her refuse Light. I believe that Serah finding her way into Noel's dream world changed it, like a paradox within the paradox(seewutididthar). --- Light sounds tough. Claire sounds sexy.
