Cactuarina?

Heard there's a Cactuar medic which is solid, when and where can I get this?

A little ways into episode 4, so I do have access to Archylte AF???, and other Cactuars seem to be listed there by guides, yet this Cactuarina is unlisted.

I found it back at that.. 005 AF starting area (forgot name..) where the Time Gate is located at. You need that improved Mog Throw to get it though that allows you to obtain items (and special monsters in specific spots) when Mog is thrown. I threw Mog to the left far end outside the crater while standing next to the Time Gate itself on its left side. It may take a few tries but it is there, no need to fight it either.

It's a Flowering Cactuar. As soon as you get it, the game renames it as Cactuarina in much the same vain as Greater Behemoth becoming Grand Behemoth and Munchkin Maestro becoming Munchkin Boss.

Edit: Or perhaps I am mistaken...? Yet I know I have a Cactuarina without having used Mog Throw to get it.

Hey Majin, imagine seing you here.
And no, Cactuarina and Flowering Catuar/Cactrot are two separate monsters, even if they are both Medics.

I think all monsters you get with the throw abilities are 1 time only

^pretty much this. Just keep an eye out and be careful when infusing, because it'll be lost for good if it was infused into another monster by accident or deleted.

Yeah screw it, think I'll go Com, Rav, and Sen w/ Fringeward (only for triple SEN formation) for my 3 monster roles.

Medics seem to consistently suffer from having horrifically low HP.

You know what really grinds my gears?

Every time I want to tame something and go out of my way to kill it with Feral Link, the thing NEVER gets captured. I tame plenty of stuff normally, but whenever I actually bother to press Square, it like lowers my chances. -_-
