But I still may have just won the 7777 in one jackpot though, since it went from 6000 to close to 15000 in just an hour and a half.

That's fine but there's no specific reward for that aside from the coins. Having to win 7777 in a single go for a trophy would be ridiculous.

I just got it two minutes ago. Started with 12,000 or so coins, was down to 6,000 with no single big win. 250 was the largest. Was around 2,700 turns in using auto when I got it randomly after a 250 coin Jackpot.

I just want to weigh in on the debate: I also can confirm it's total, not one winning.

I had 38,000 Coins, kept winning small bundles like 250 at a time, ended up pretty much back where I started after 2 hours (and I did check on it a few times, and never fell below 36,000, which means it was all small piles). It doesn't have to be profit, and it doesn't have to be in ONE win.

EDIT: Also, I was at about 890 total turns.

You were quite lucky, it took me close to 4000 turns before it dropped for me. I ran out of coins twice, thankfully a fully leveled/infused silver chocobo makes coins like it's nobody's business.

^ You made more coins and played some more? Why didn't you reload after you ran out?

Because that would only get me more coins. Doing the Chocobo races gets you Adamantite, collectors catalogs, and various other materials that can be sold and transformed into gil. That and they're fun and short.

According to the official guide is get a total of 7,777 coins total from all your winnings at the slot machine. Nowhere does it say that it has to be in one single pull of the knob.

Excerpt from the guide.
Fragment: Lucky Coin
To obtain this Fragment, you must win over 7,777 Casino Coins in total on the Hall of Gaming slot machine in any number of sessions - a feat that can potentially take many hours.

Also, there are no 7s on the slot machines. Those are 9s. Do to the tutorial, and it even tells you they are 9s.

Set it up on auto and go do something else for a day. That's how I got it.

I can confirm that it doesn't have to be more than 7777 coins in one win. I got it and never got more than 5000 coins at once.
