Final Fantasy XIII-2
A FNCFFXIIIRPG, Chapter Four: Instruments of Revelation
[OOC: Yeah I got past it. I'm not sure how Kyte should react to what just happened. Maybe he will just be a bit of a flirt, instead of "liking" Angil...]
Kyte Roleplay Start
"Hey Angil, I'll go with you!" She was going to the weapon shop to hopefully regain what she calls "determinators". Maybe I will see something I like.
"There is no right or wrong, only opinion and perspective"
Yuki Additional Roleplay Start
Kizan had not replied to Yuki as they entered the market area in Oerba. Did she not hear me, or is she preoccupied with her own thoughts?
He thought about asking her again, but he decided against it.
They came up to an item stall and Yuki stopped, his eyes drawn to some strange device. "Excuse me, sir, but...what is this?" asked Yuki as he examined device.
"Oh! That is something you can use to discern your enemies' strengths and weaknesses. They cost 500 gil a piece."
Yuki thought for a moment. "Give me three of them. Also, do you have any potions or healing items?"
"Oh yes. We have some Hi-Potions and potions. We also have Painkillers on sale for 150 gil!"
"On sale?" replied Yuki increduously. Maybe for Oerba... He sighed. "Alright. Give me two Hi-Potions, two Painkillers, and three Potions in addition to three of those...what do you call them?"
"Librascopes. Your total is 2700 gil sir."
Yuki handed over the gil and took his items, carefully placing them in a pouch. He turned to Kizan and crossed his arms. "You ready to see Angil?"
Yuki Additional Roleplay End
3 Librascopes (1500 gil)
2 Hi-Potions (600 gil)
2 Painkillers (300 gil)
and 3 Potions (300 gil)!
Updated Stat Sheet:

<--WEAPONS--> [Great Sword/Grav Spear]

Potion: Heals 200 HP.
Hi-Potion: Heals 600 HP.
Painkiller: Removes Pain on yourself or target ally.
Phoenix Down: Revive fallen party member to 50% Max HP.
Librascope: Libra on all enemy combatants.
So is this the distribution of the loots?
Improved Esuna I: Darran, seeing how Milly is not interested in it.
Quick Stagger: Still undecided between Milly and Yuki.
Frost Ring: Jason
Champion's Badge: Angil
Whistlewind Scarf: Yuki, so maybe Milly'll get the weapon?
Boreal Ring: Kyte
"Okay, Guess the weapon's for me" Darran replied, as he pick up a bladed weapon with its edge sharpened to near-lethal finish. Despite the difference in its sleek shape compared to his trusty hatchet he have earlier, he could swing the blade all the same.
Darran obtained Machete (Improved Esuna I)!
"Hey Milly. Think it's time to start using the gil? We seemed to have quite a lot now."
(OOC: This is before we bought the accessories, might start role-playing that)
OOC: Between Darran, Jason and Milly, I would like to know where your characters will be next from a writing stand point. Are you going to be at the weapon shop with Angil and Kyte, will you run into Yuki and Kizan, will you be somewhere else or will you wait at the transit line? I would merely like to know that much before I commence their fated reunion.
Kizan Roleplay Start
As we walked around, Yuki posed some questions to me.
"Kizan, you said that Angil is both a Goddess of Air and a Death Goddess. She-and your kind-are not connected to Etro or any of our supposed 'Gods'? Was there anyone else among your kind that disappeared at some point?"
I reservedly pondered each part of the questions to discern any hidden meanings. This could be some kind of test or code among his clan to see what I knew. Maybe I was being subtly interrogated and by answering, I would give him answers I wouldn't, just by trying not to be rude. Well played young man, well played.
We came to an item shop where he picked up several items that seemed important to him. Being as I was now his charge, complaining about it or getting impatient would be impolite. I continue my stoic absentmindedness until we are away enough to answer his queries without being overheard.
"I'm not sure who Etro or any of your gods are. Considering how easy it seemed that Angil and I killed them, we are most certainly not connected or allies. Other than Angil and myself, The Goddess of Dimensions has not allowed anyone else to this world from ours."
Did I give away too much by revealing my actions in Bohemia? Did he already know Angil was known as Godslayer? Perhaps I did but I can't reverse the flow of time to stifle my voice. I gave him the information he wanted and a little more. I decide that Angil is better off answering all this and direct my words towards such.
"Angil can probably tell you more than I can. The three of us can hold council shortly."
End Kizan Roleplay.
"Apparently, floors can fire guns...I...I did not know that." Nostalgia Critic
OOC: Darran's still outside the entrance of the temple, where loots and rewards presumely are. Depending on Milly's response, I'll go with her to the shop to purchase accessories (Healer's Emeralds). I'm kind of interested in seeing how Milly came to the same conclusion as Darran.
Tomorrow turned into a few days as I celebrated Mother's Day Saturday and worked all day today. Er, Sunday. Excuses, I have lots of them. >_<

@Ask: The Prison counts as Chaos's Free action, like how you can use a potion or TP move + your ATB moves. His high magic stat, Faith, Imperil inflicted by the Prison, and the whopping x6 stagger multiplier lead to his extreme damage.
@Sirius: Auto-Abilities and Role Levels still only effect their relevant Action Abilities. Actually, you benefitted from Fearsiphon from LAST turn, so you had 5 this round. Does that make sense? You targeted a staggered enemy with a ravager spell last round, giving you an extra ATB this round. So I will have you use 'Fire' this round as your 5th, so you still trigger Fearsiphon for next round, except... Also, Percentages are multiplicative.
@Cat: I do only multiply the damage reduction effects. 30% damage reduction leads to a .7 multiplier. I figure it is more intuitive to phrase it that way.
Delightful roleplaying all around! XD Oh wow I had so much fun reading it. As much as I love to put my battle systems to the test, your characterizations have turned into the real treasure of this RP-g.
THE EIGHTH ARK
If Chaos imprisons Zeromus this round: [Anti-Physic Field] (Physical actions have no effect!)
If Zeromus is free from imprisonment this round: [Anti-Magic Field] (Magical actions have no effect!)
INACTIVE: Syntyche, Angelus, Vincere
Azra`eil deals 7920 damage to Zeromus!
Emil deals 9840 damage to Zeromus!
Kei heals Emil for 1100 HP and himself for 750 including a potion!
Renge deals 4950 damage to Zeromus, inflicting 3[Imperil]!
Chaos Imprisons Zeromus and deals 44280 damage to Zeromus!
Zeromus let's out an unearthly wail. Chaos, if I cannot stop you, no entity will. None but yourself can see you through your foolishness~! Zeromus's body busts open in a most sickening manner. His muscles explode out of his body. A viscous fluid jettisons everywhere, giving those caught in it a sticky shower that will take more than one bathing to come clean! His cartilage and exoskeleton cracks and breaks down leaving a heaping grotesquerie on the pavilion with our heroes. The chaotic field pervading the room dissipates returning the slayers of yet another fal'Cie back into their home dimension in a very dark room lit by purple candles leading out of the atreum behind them.
A gravity distortion begins to form in the remains of Zeromus, consuming the wreck of his body over a twenty second period. While his 'blood' still lies everywhere, the distortion that is the Condemner has returned to it's home floating just ahead off the platform. A familiar, booming voice fills the air once again.
"You are certainly stronger than I would give Ultima credit for. Few that have trained in my Ark have faced me, and fewer still lived. You have the wit to overcome any puzzle and the resolve to see your plans achieve fruition. Leave my sanctum at once, lest I decide to send you into the Void, forever!"
A small temporal vortex appears at the edge of the pavilion, and as it seals itself a array of treasure spheres appear. You have a long trek out of the Ark and back to Paddra, but you are far stronger for it. Not one, but three Eidolons have been unlocked in the trials you faced. You have achieved a power level far higher than many l'Cie, perhaps somewhere in the top eighty percentile, yet not a month has passed yet. A greater destiny still awaits. Or death.
Zeromus is defeated!
All players in the RPG earn an additional 2000 crystogen!
In addition to the above, all participants earn 2000 crystogen, 1000 gold, and 3 TP!
The following rare artefacts are dropped, and each player can choose only one each:
Improved Debuffing I: Increase chance to stick debuff status effects by 1/6.
Critical: Shield: Upon first reaching below 30% damage in a battle, you are immune to further damage this round.
Vampiric Strike I: 5% of damage you deal heals you.
General's Belt: 30% Physical Damage Reduction (non-stacking)
Gale Ring: Move forward 1 tier on Wind Resist Scale.
Doctor's Code: Improved Potions.
Whistlewind Scarf: Start first round of battle with +1 ATB.
Leave the Ark as comrades in arms and return to Paddra.
When you have reached Paddra, the following is in effect:
***TOWN*** (Crystarium & Shops open!)
You will be given further details once you reach Paddra!
@Everyone: Once all characters have arrived at Paddra, a further round of rewards will be given in the form of coupons to help players prepare for what is ahead! You might not be seeing friendly civilization for a while.
@Rush: I'm wondering when we'll start the Crystarium normalization, it would be bothersome if it happened when we're at the point where we can't spend the CP. Also, any word on Regen? I'm unsure if you want to implement it or not.
@Nemy: It will happen sometime during the interlude, when I get around to tallying everybody's total crystogen. You will be able to spend it promptly. I will also be adjusting character creation and doing away with the old cheaper values when you first make a character so everyone will get some bonus crystogen from the conversion.
Regen is in the backend and will be implemented before we resume into the second act, as well as Wound.
Guardsiphon is out, by the way. I don't think anybody has purchased it yet.

[@Rush: Thanks, just wondered. Good to know. A very nice skill. Also, did you get my emails? Just wondering, as I have not heard back yet.
Ah, also, how long will we have to RP before the other group gets to Paddra?
OOC: Finally, that long battle is over! To the Paddra group, I would like the General’s belt if possible, if someone else wanted it let me know.]
After the long battle finally ended, the group was back in Paddra. Azra took a look around and then sat down, exhausted from the battle. There appeared an assortment of treasure as well. The belt looked particularly nice. He picked it up and took a look. “Hey, is everybody here and all right? [OOC: So what do we do about Syntche, Angelus, and Vincere? Are they here as well? Just curious for description purposes.] Renge had pulled through, and his eidolon had proved to be powerful and probably turned the tide in the last battle. Well, no point and sitting here. Standing up, Azra’eil dusted himself off, thinking about what to do next.
