I think SYNs would make more sense to be used as pseudo-Sentinels than Ravagers. As you're taking a big hit the Synergist can real quick re-apply offensive buffs as needed so that you can jump right back onto the offensive instead of having to switch to a SYN paradigm, wasting just barely that last couple seconds when the enemy's stagger gauge is about to time out and resets. This is just my personal opinion though and is clearly "up-for-grabs" to be picked apart as needed :P

Well, I went out for dinner/drinks and missed a few pages! Glad to see this board alive and well. I wish I started playing ff13-2 as soon as it came out, I would have enjoyed discussing issues and events in real time. When I first started building monsters I admit I was terrible at it. I tried to duplicate many builds from this site (and laurencium's), but kept botching them. But over time I got better and now I really enjoy building monsters that suit my ever evolving play style.

@noah - I'm sure a lot of people are like me and use these threads for help. Not necessarily posting a lot but still enjoying reading what others post, learning about infusions, strategies, etc. Moving all this to another site, at this stage of the game, would lose a lot of those people. *** ok I came back from dinner/drinks and bmsirius has addressed this already so I'll drop it**

Bottom line is these threads, and the FAQ are very well written and helpful. I'm sure I speak for a lot of others when I say thank you to bms, taly, elee, and the other posters.

Fyi, I just built imp and he's faster and has 1 more beneficial passive than purple chocobo. His original 7 buffs lasted the whole battle with raspitil (1 minute 11 seconds), which is way longer than yakshini's buff durations. First of many tests but he looks promising. I read he's a bit defensive, has an uninspiring FL, and is fragile too. Oh well, guess I'll find out.

Yakshini was my top syn because I used him for a big chunk of the game and his feral link is tops. But his magic is low, and has too many spells, and anyway I retired him so I could yellow lock his defense maintenance ability for other syn builds.
Gahongas is slightly lower than him. Sahagin prince and ultros have awesome feral links, especially when the enemy is staggered. But they are inconsistent and unreliable.

On [censored], you don't have to read through every single paragraph of every post of every page of every thread to find the info that you want. Even if you're not registered, you can just run a simple search for a few key words, and you'll get every post with those words handed right to you. Tell me with a straight face that this would not improve things.

On [censored], we don't have to deal with corruption. Have you seen Jolo's contributions? Probably not, 'cause a lot of them got deleted before he got banned. He was as good a theorycrafter as anyone, but he's gone.

This site is most accessible to the intended audience. That may be the only thing it has going for it, but that's also arguably the most important attribute.

edit: also, in the interest of preserving your ability to contribute here as long as possible, I'd advise cutting out the references to the moderators. Whether or not they actually have a vendetta against you, those comments clearly violate Board Etiquette rules and arguably violate the Terms of Use. I don't see any reason for you to hand them an excuse they could use to ban you on a silver platter.
