OOC: If we decide to use the new TP system, the effect of the Victory Badge will be different and I'll have to change the cost of it and the Energy Sash. Let me know if we are trying out the new system. Angil will likely lead with Mighty Guard if no one focuses on defense FYI.

Yuki and Haru Combat Roleplay Start

Yuki was concerned. Great...if Angil had as much trouble as she did with Valefor when she was a Fayth, I can only imagine how much pain Yojimbo can bring to the table in his Eidolon form.

Haru looked at him. "Want me to cover you?"

"Considering we're all in trouble if I go down...yes."

Haru nodded and positioned himself between Yuki and Yojimbo. Meanwhile, Yuki retrieved the last Librascope he had and activated it. "Here goes...what do we find out."

Evidently, not much:

Prior to battle

Darran thought he was going to have it coming when Yojimbo apparently got fed up and attempted to attack him. Fortunately for the survivalist, Yuki has stepped in to deflect the shockwave. Not wanting to further antagonize Yuki or anyone else for that matter, Darran stayed silent.

During battle

"Well, that wasn't very helpful." commented Parnell as he took a look at the Librascope data

"Hmp, I'll just use brute-force methods. Yojimbo isn't the only one who can inflict numerous status ailments." replied Darran to Parnell, who incidentally, is probably the only person who can be comfortably be talked to.

Darran's Actions:
Tactical used: Chainspell (-2 TP, 32 TP remaining), ATB doubled from 6 to 12
Role: Saboteur Lv1 (1/6+ success rate)
Darran cast... umm well, this is not going to be pleasant:
Curse (triggering Master Debuffer unless immune), Deshell, Deprotect, Poison, Imperil, Debrave, Defaith, Slow, Pain, Fog, Wound, and Dispel. Each ailment have 3/6 base chance which might be increased to 4/6 if Curse sticks.

He deals 600 damage and 36 staggers (including Parnell's Role Bonus) to Yojimbo!

"Hey thank, Yuki!" replied Parnell as he felt himself moving more quickly, fast enough for him to fire his manadrive twice.

Parnell's Actions:
Role: Ravager Lv3 (3+ stagger for self, 1+ stagger for allies)
Manadrive Firaga x 2 on Yojimbo dealing 480 damage and 16 staggers (Role Bonus and Vigor included. Overwhelm NOT included.)

OOC: I've been on, but my internet is horribly wonky. Will retro RP this later.

Angil uses Mighty Guard
Adds protect, shell and regen for 2 turns with buffer so they can't be immediately dispelled
Although she can't use TP skills, using an S move prevents the free turn TP charge but she will charge TP for the start of turn 2 (Hope that makes sense)
The protect/shell/regen is one buff called Mighty Guard that is independent of being renewed by the Auto ability Boon
It can go up to 3 turns with Syn RL 3, and up to four with that and a staggered enemy (default 0 turns)

Oh, that's for everyone. People can still cast protect/shell/regen, but the abilities won't be additive. Only one set would count.

Round 1 Results

Yuki uses a Librascope and casts Haste on himself, Angil, and Parnell for 4 turns! Yuki generates 18 Gestalt on Yojimbo!

Haru covers Yuki, Challenges Yojimbo, Steelguards once, and casts Regen on himself for 3 turns! Tertiatic Tiara activates, giving him 2 turns of Protect, Shell, and Veil! Haru heals for 635 HP from Regen!

Darran uses Chainspell and casts Curse, Deshell, Deprotect, Poison, Imperil, Debrave, Defaith, Slow, Pain, Fog, Wound, and Dispel. Darran inflicts Curse thanks to Master Debuffer and also inflicts Imperil, Defaith, and Fog (Yojimbo is immune to Deprotect, Deshell, Poison, Pain, and Wound)! Darran deals 600 damage and 24 Gestalt to Yojimbo!

Parnell uses (Manadrive) Firaga twice, inflicting 720 damage and 10 Gestalt to Yojimbo!

Angil uses Mighty Guard, granting 2 turns of unremovable Protect, Shell, and Regen to the entire party aside from Haru!

Yojimbo

The Judge of Valhalla looked at Darran after his attacks. "Hmph...you think you can rely on such petty abilities to overcome me? I believe it is time for you and your allies to learn not to rely on them..."

He held a hand up sideways with three fingers skyward, and soon a light emanated from the fingers. Using the hand, he drew a pentagram in the air and when it was completed he thrust his palm through it, sending a wave of energy at the party (INCLUDING THOSE NOT IN BATTLE!). Though it was not physically harmful, the party would soon realize that their tactics had been greatly reduced in the ability to use...

Then Yojimbo nodded. "Now...to continue this..."

Actions

Yojimbo permanently seals the party's TP, forcing it to build up through battle!

Yojimbo commences his countdown to using his ultimate attack!

Yojimbo uses physical versions of Slow, Poison (twice), Deprotect (twice), and Wound on Haru! Haru evades the Slow, loses his Protect and is dealt 150 damage!

OOC: Okay, some notes for this:

Since Angil used a special that has the same effects regardless of ATB, I am not counting down her Haste. If ATB had some effect (such as extra turns depending on number of ATB), I would count it down.

Mighty Guard counted down only for Haru because the Protect from it was needed. No one else needed anything.

Cover does not prevent the free TP from not using a Special/Tactic/Item building.

Yojimbo has chain resistance to everyone except Yuki (which was not illustrated here). This is to put more pressure on Yuki's actions.

I propose a cap on TP that is equal to the number of party members in the battle times five. This would allow everyone to summon at the same time if TP was maxed. At the end of battle, any excess TP would be multiplied by 100 and that would be added as bonus CP. So if the battle were to end this turn with no tactics used, the party would gain an additional 1000 CP on top of the 1000 from beating an Eidolon. Thoughts?

Edit Note: I'm thinking that STR for Yoji needs to go up. Expect numbers not to compare well in the next update. Or think of multipliers for SAB being low. /shrug
