Different US box art?

I was just looking through a small town grocery store (in USA) and noticed they had Final Fantasy XIII-2, but something stood out to me, the side strip with the title of the game featured a completely different font, it was much larger than the title is on the box that I'm familiar with.

The store was crowded and we were in a hurry so I didn't bother to ask to open the cabinet and look at it.

Was this some alternate version I saw? Maybe a Canadian version?

Note: It was a plain (brand new sealed) copy of the game, in a typical PS3 box.

I did not see the front or back cover, but the side strip actually looked similar to this:

Assuming that boxart above is some kind of mockup, I'm going back to the store today, I'm going to take a closer look at it and see what version it is.
