What's a good lategame paradigm pack (no DLC)?

Not sure how close I am to lategame (getting graviton cores at the moment), but I wanna plan ahead.

I only care about COM, RAV and MED. Maybe SEN, but only if it is really necessary.
I'd like a very small pack, 3 for all around and maybe 1 or 2 for specific fights (like postgame bosses).

I just maxed a Dragoon, mostly cause I got a bit lost in Augusta Tower 200AF and had to use potent chips to not waste them (was constantly at 95+).
For now it's overpowered, but what about later?
I don't want a Chichu if I can avoid it cause I don't like the design. Or is Chichu that much better than all other COMs?

Using a random Buckaboo now. He's ok.
I also would like to avoid Cloudburst/Debris cause they look boring. Again, are they that much better than other RAVs so I should use them anyway?

I do like my Flanitor. Hyper Rescue is sweet. Well, I feel like I am reaching his limit anyway.
Potent Engines are hard to come by as are any other materials he can use, he still has barely over 1000 HP while everyone else has double and triple that.
His healing isn't bad, but Hyper Rescue isn't as good as it was anymore (is it really just instant Curaja?).

I fought a ****ton of goblin chieftains already but still got none for my party. May consider one for tough fights cause of the FL.

I may also consider going for a Chocobo only pack if they are worth it (and pack mentality is good enough).

Oh and what abilities should I infuse them with?

Check the monster infusion FAQ and ignore the DLC section. Most of the monsters considered good are there, and there are explanations as to their role and whatever. Pick what you like and then follow the infusion recipes.

As for Chichu, non-DLC, it is the best fully physical OR fully magical COM. You can only get one though. Cloudburst is truly notable alongside Chieftain - their Feral Links combined give every buff in the game. MEDs aren't really necessary ever, so I've nothing to add there.

Chocobo pack is a pretty good choice - they are among the best at their roles.

Chichu as a Commando
Blue Chocobo or Cloudburst as a Ravager
Yakshini as a Synergist

Medic monsters are NOT needed in this game. Sentinels are sometimes useful, but only in early game in my opinion.

Ok, the other way around.
Can I turn a feral behemoth into a good enough com to replace chichu?
And is there a good enough rav to replace cloudstrike/debris/blue chocobo?

If you want a decent COM behemoth, you're better off with a standing one like Proto.

The FAQ has alternatives to that bunch of RAVs. Just look.

I used Dragoon, Circuitron (another bomb type like Cloudburst), and Green Chocobo from around the time I got Dragoon to the end of the storyline. Since you have Flanitor instead of a (horribly underleveled) Green, you're even better off probably. Dragoon MAY have some durability issues but I didn't find it to be a problem. He works fine.

I wonder why you (TC) would want to replace Chichu and Blue Chocobo? If you haven't maxed out Serah and Noel in all roles, you are going to have difficult time with your average monsters like Behemoths.

Actually, I just realised you're the guy that thinks buffing and debuffing is pointless.

Well, I guess I may go for an all chocobo paradigm then. Can you get Pack Mentality on 3 chocobos?

As for buffs, they are pointless compared to FFXIII and not worth the effort (considering the preparations).
Seems like I can spend the time & items needed to make a good bravery+faith syn to rather build up main role monsters more and get a similar effect due to base stats and passive abilities, not requiring a syn monster in my pack and being able to use com/com/com, rav/rav/rav and med/med/med.

You can't get more than 2 Pack Mentality passives ever unless you have the Snow episode DLC. That said you'd only need 2: 1 for the COM and 1 for the RAV. Every other role benefits very little from it or plain not at all.
