New here, some questions

#1JkickitPosted 2/18/2013 12:02:34 AM
1) Any missable achievements? If so, which ones?
2) Are Noel and Serah the only playable characters?
3) Is the DLC any good? How about the outfits?
4) Lastly, any hints/tips to give someone new?

1. I don't think there are. You can replay everything.
2. Yes.
3. Never bought any of it with the exception of Omega who I never used.
4. Try as hard as you can to explore every inch on the map, it makes some of the fragments less painful to get. Also, get Chichu as soon as you possibly can and build him only using strength enhancers. The game would have been a lot easier for me if I had known Chichu was such a beast.

2) You get Serah and Noel, and then your third party member is a combination of 3 monsters you have caught. You can catch and keep all of the tameable monsters, and then you select up to 3 to take your third party slot, depending on which Paradigm you set yourself to during battle.

Thanks for the answers guys, seems a bit ehh that only 2 characters are playable.
How are the monsters? can you tell them what moves to use or something or is it automatic?

The monsters have their own AI since its the same as XIII's party member paradigms, but each monster has a special attack known as a Feral Link (sort of like a Limit break) which you can activate once the Feral Link gauge is filled. You also have a bit more control over your party paradigms since you can choose whether you want to set a paradigm to area attacks (for large crowds of enemies) or to attack a single target (party leader target). Monsters learn a predetermined moves but you can also infuse other monsters into your monster to learn passive abilities or their moves (granted they're of the same role ,eg. Commando,Ravager,Medic, etc). Monsters also have their own crystarium.
