Wow, I salute you! I barelly beat him with monsters so I shudder to think how difficult it was to solo him with Serah! You're awesome :D

He has a very consistent attack pattern, once you figure it out and come up with a proper counter strategy, it becomes all about timing and execution, and patience, since your main offensive role will be Saboteur.

Yeah I figured Saboteur is the most usefull role for this battle as well as a sentinal monster since Caius has this tendency of only attacking Serah if he's not provoked. Wound damage can be real helpful in this battle :D

even when provoked I find he often attacked serah I would say maybe about 20% of the time.

considering without a monster sen he spends most of the time tossing serah in the air making her powerless I am very curious how one gets through this fight without a monster.

You have to guard his wave of attacks. After he's done attacking, he spends 3 turns just standing there. That's when you poison him and dispel him.

I don't mean to be obnoxious, but you inspired me to make a video of this fight after I realized that no good one exists.

That guy was tough. It was one of the last fragments I got.

Anyway, I need to get back to this game. It's been sitting on my shelf over a year since I played it. I did get all the fragments, but there was some more stuff I wanted to do before FFXIII-2 came out.

School and Internet obligations have kept me too busy for most games...
