How long is the warranty that comes with the PS Vita?

That's... actually a pretty good question. I would assume one year, with retailers providing an expanded option; that tends to be the case. But yeah, any official word would be interesting.

^ what he said. I'd guess a year (that's what almost all electronics warranties are excluding extended warranties like the 360) with extra to pay for through retailer

I'm buying the additional $29.99 product replacement plan at gamestop so if anything goes wrong within 12 months I can just go pick up a new one instead of messing with Sony's warranty.

Sony will probably offer an extended warranty through SEN like they do with the PS3. $29.99 extra per year I believe.
