4-5 hours with the highest brightness setting, from what I've heard. So that should be 6-8 hours on medium brightness. Still pretty short but you can't expect 10+ hours from devices like these.

Actually, to be honest, I've rarely noticed differences in battery life when I change brightness settings.

I noticed plenty of difference on my DS LITE.
It gave me a good extra hour or so.
