The NGP homebrew discussion thread

I think Sony should allow users to run whatever homebrew they want, and allow games to be developed for the NGP by whoever wants to drop some cash for a dev kit. They could run it similar to the Xbox LIVE Community Developer Program (XCDP):

Good idea or bad idea?

All discussions of homebrew(even legal homebrew) are not allowed on Gamefaqs.

It's a very dumb rule I agree, but go some place else to discuss homebrew.

Who cares about Gamefaqs stupid rules. If they can allow mindless fanboys/kids/etc to spout off all their stupidity on these boards with no punishment, then we can talk about homebrew.

Anyway Sony isn't going to allow it from their end, that's for sure. Hopefully the system can be modded to install emulators, that would be great. And considering how powerful this system apparently is, I wouldn't be shocked if we could get all the way up to quality PS1 emulation on it.

That modding is going to lead to piracy which will hurt everyone eventually.
