Wait, so you're saying that the people who play CoD are going to buy handhelds for it?

Hell no they aren't.

Sure, why not? I guarantee many CoD fans are going to find the idea of a HD console experience for CoD on a portable with competent online enticing enough to get a PSVita

Because most of these players want to sit back and play the game on their large TVs in HD definition needing to blow off some steam.

Not lean over a 5 inch screen where you can barely see on a handheld system that never controlled well for FPS games. And then getting them to pay another 250 bucks for it when they already have a console to play with it. Many CoD players are not all around gamers.

And when they're out or on a trip, they'll love the idea of having a CoD in the palm of their hands. CoD has a humongous, monster size fanbase, and you can say a good amount are gamers. If PSVita even attracts 30% of the fanbase's attention, which is likely, it will sell bulks.

Enough to plop down 300 bucks?

I doubt it. Just how often does anyone see people with PSPs nowadays?

Well I only say no to call of duty, lbp, bioshock because those really havent had any long lasting hardware effects on consoles.

But uncharted is documented to really push hardware. And the day monster hunter freedom 3 launched more psp's were sold than at any point in history.

Holiday Call of Duty bundles for the Xbox 360 have worked wonders for Microsoft, it's definitely documented to push hardware.

BioShock and LBP I'm sure have pushed hardware to an extent, but the fanbase is what's most important. A lot of fans will be getting a PSVita for the new game of their fav series

Funny enough, I probably won't buy any of those games. Good thing there's also Wipeout and Gravity Daze.

Honestly I cant estimateby fanbase. Out of all those only uncharted and monster hunter have lead to a measurable increase of superior magnitude.

I'd say definitely. $250 is a great entry point for a handheld of this caliber, and the added price of the game won't mean much.

The PSVita is not the PSP, far from it. The PSP has been dead for more than a year in the US, and there were a lot of flaws and mistakes on Sony's behalf. And they honestly look to have all been rectified. If the PSP had dual analog sticks, a competent online, and so on then you'd have a point

I disagree the psp has been dead in anyway. And with the amount of sales its had, it deserves to be recognized as one of the top 10 systems in history

Well then we'll have to wait for the results to show it. If you look at the PSVita boards for BioShock and LittleBigPlanet you can see topics saying "I have to get a PSVita for this". So it's pretty obvious if a big series comes to PSVita, fans will buy it for that series

Little Deviants, besides demostrating what the system is capable of, was also one of the first games Sony showed in the begging of the year.
