That PS1 and PS2 or Xbox was the same way.
This is a LIE.
See back then if I bought a PS2 then loaded up my game. I could play it. I could play it for hours and hours. Then when I cut it off, I just couldn't save. Sure it was annoying. But it I wanted to be able to save I had to go online, find some cheap Chinese version and wait for it to come in the mail.
These memory cards are NOT REQUIRED for you to be able to save. They are required for the companies that want to use Sonies new DRM. This means the game does NOT LOAD PERIOD. You CAN NOT PLAY IT AT ALL. Until you buy a memory card.
Lose your memory card? Break it by accident? CAN NOT PLAY YOUR GAMES AT ALL! Why is this not a huge deal to so many?
Sony is forcing us to buy their memory cards. There is no choice like there was in past (not saving). You can't play unless you buy it.
This is why I think Sony is ripping us off.
So stop saying Old systems were the same way. Because they were not.
Because we've known this information for 3 months and have had ample time to prepare ourselves? Seems like the obvious reason, but then there's people like you who are bringing up stuff that's too little too late
