i think everyone is missing the point here

I've been reading the boards today and i find that a lot of supporters of both Nintendo and Sony seem to be at each other's neck. Now i'm a fan of all consoles except Microsoft (how dear they ban me from Xbox Live).Just joking but seriously i know that the Vita will not outsell the 3DS but who says thats a bad thing. Sony has been doing fine without the fantastic sales and Nintendo is doing well with the 3DS since the price drop. Instead of attacking each other how about we band together to stop the rise of the .99 cents game. It really ticks me off when people keep calling them "games" and even thought they are they don't have the content that true gamers who have been playing games for years now have. "Gamers" play games because they like the connection they have with the game may it be Modern Warfare, Final Fantasy, or Tekken. They all have enough content to have a connection with them. While a .99 cent games keeps you intertained for what 5-15 minutes and your done with it not giving you enough time to have any connection with it like a cheap Jezebel.

You can't be perfect with a d-pad placement as ridiculous as the 3DS'.

The D pad is far from the biggest problem with the 3DS. I'm looking at you, screen scratching issue!

My screen hasn't been personally scratched, but plenty of people have. It's a real problem that Nintendo themselves have acknowledged. Whether or not it comes from people being "too rough" with their systems, it shouldn't happen at all. The damn thing was tested to be dropped 10 times from shoulder height without damage, but can't be put in a pocket without the screen being scratched? That's an oversight, and a pretty big one at that. I think we've all come to expect better of Nintendo, which is why it's such a disappointment that they'd let it slip through, especially with such an easy fix.

I agree TC. Outselling something does not make any difference. Its not the PS2 era anymore. Developers will put their games on any system that can run them to reach the potential install base there. And that will include Nintendo when Wii U launches. But then thats good because everybody gets to play the games. Exclusives weren't a big deal last gen. But this gen its getting more expensive and soon it will even be hard for Nintendo to keep their third party exclusives (like Microsoft now). Of course Nintendo will gain a lot more then they lose.

All outselling really does is give fanboys a point scoring card to use on forums. What fanboys should really worry about is if the system is a success.
