I'm semi OK with the game drought going on, as PSP and DS were very slow to get games until about 2-3 years into their lifespans, but Sony's inability to deliver things like PSOne Support and updating the UI to be able to use buttons on the main menu just really rubs me the wrong way. It's like Sony doesn't even want to support their own product, which really stings after buying the 3G at launch, though they can turn it around later on down the road I suppose.

I see my Vita for what it basically is, a underpowered yet portable PS3, but with only a fraction of the use currently available at this time, and severely lacking in the software side of things. The apps have potential, but it's not a floodgate like the regular Android or iOS store, so that's part of what hurts it. I'd love it if future PSN titles could cross work with Vita as well as PS3, since I see plenty of them releasing as good games, but ignoring the Vita as a platform for the most part. Like the new Tony Hawk remake, I'd LOVE to have that on the go! Jet Set Radio will be fun on the Vita, but not sure Nights into Dreams will have a Vita port, and Sonic 4 1+2 could easily have been retooled to work on Vita. Just stuff like that, where they could pad the library more, but not doing so at this time.

The Vita is fine, in my book. Sony is the culprit. Advertising (lack thereof) sucks. The ridiculously horrible E3 showing. And the Vita is no betamax, which speaks volumes.

Agree mostly. It's a solid piece of hardware that is stagnant due some pretty horrible decisions by Sony. I'm not disappointed in the lack of advertising at all, just the lack of unique content. I may be in the minority, but I'm not a fan of crossplay since I think it will set Sony up to be more lazy than they already are. The Vita will continue to flop hard if it doesn't differentiate itself, both from the competition and from the PS3.

I think everyone agrees with this. There's nothing flawed about the hardware itself, but for a system that "does everything" it doesn't do much at all at this point.

It's better than the Philips CD-i.
