I honestly dont understand why the vita is flopping.

I loved the PSP and so did many 3rd party devs.I was sure the Vita would just pick up where the PSP left off,it just seems odd as hell that Sony is having a hard time getting 3rd party support for this system.

Your average consumer is not going to spend $250-$300 on a console, up to another $100 for a memory card, and ~$40 per game.

I pre-ordered and bought the Vita on launch day, thinking it was going to get better support than PSP or 3DS, boy was I wrong. I wish I cancelled my pre-order and waited, instead of having a Vita until it's on clearance...

Maybe a price drop would help?It worked wonders for the 3ds.

I dont see a problem with the 250 WiFi price but added memory costs help boost it to an unhealthy place.

... And the PSP was 250-300$ and the memory card at the console's release were beyond expensive as well (I'm sure by the time the PSP was released, a 4GB Memory Stick was close to 60$)

And people complain about a more powerful system that costs 250 and 16 GB cards that costs 60$

I get enough use out of my Vita not to be disappointed...and that's just from Vita games

I would seriously be shocked if it ended up anything close to what the doomseekers predict came to fruition. I'm not gonna lie and say its doing very well ATM, however it's not doing as bad as many think either. I typically wait a year before I decide a systems true worth...but I'm also the kind of gamer who buys a system for 1 game (PSP and 2 Wiis for MH)

The PSP played every game without a memory card. The launch PSPs came with a 32MB for saves. The Vita forces you to use a memory card, or the game wont boot. Big difference!

Console sales typically peak in their second and third years. Vita is seriously underperforming, but this is hardly indicative of its entire lifespan performance.

I haven't got it because I want to see a big memory card bundled in it. You need memory cards to play games but they charge the earth for them. I wouldn't mind a price drop for the system either but its the memory cards that is the problem for me. I don't care much if it goes down in price. I know the memory cards are a rip off though.
