L2 and R2 for psone games?

So I bought twisted metal 2(one of my all time favorites) and realized there's no option to use l2 and r2, which are used to shoot. There's an option to customize the controls but i would have to switch out other important buttons. Am I missing something?

Yea I saw that it says that. But there's no option to asign them under custom controls, and on standard the rtp doesn't do a thing.

Nevermind, I guess there's a sweet spot for em. Not a fan a huge fan of this so far. These are trigger buttons designed to give tactile feedback, the touch pad doesn't do the job very well. Blah, guess I'm just hatin.

In custom controls you can change the L1 and R1 buttons to L2 and R2. I'm not sure how twisted metal does its controls though so that might not work considering you would lose L1 and R1. Also you can't turn off the rear touch pad so it will still shoot and stuff if you hit it by accident.............good going sony >.>

Well you need the rear pad, without it there would be no other way to operate those buttons unless you guys wanna use the touch screen.

L1 and r1 just switch weapons. You only really need one button for it so I just assigned l2 to one of the triggers so I only need to use the tp to use machine guns. It's not ideal but it works.

Customize the buttons and switch R2/L2 with The triggers, then make the X button either L1 or R1.

you don't need both.
