PutFlamePosted 9/1/2012 1:23:34 PM | Which is just better over all and will give a more fun experience, Im hearing mixed opinions on Katamari but it looks fun. Though, FF7 is given a hell of a lot of praise here and escape plan is has been on my to get list for a while. --- One does not simply transverse the white the fog- Dark Souls |
EsperStarrPosted 9/1/2012 1:38:51 PM | I amposting because I have 2/3 of the games you posted.
Final Fantasy 7 is just plain awesome..I've played it like 7 billion times and you will definitely get your monies worth....it's an old school rpg made by square so...yeah...a billion hours worth of playtime if you're going after everything and just SO MUCH TO DO. Content heavy..lots of replay value... 9.99...Do it..Big part of gaming histroy.
Touch My Katamari It's Katamari... lol with alot of Near Functionality and replay modes Honestly, I LUV it especially optional touch controls...but after payign 25 for it...I struggle with whther or not it shouldve been sold for 15 or 20...
it IS a full nice game but some of the environments, although different, are obviously reused..just masked to appear different.
There are tons of stages, extra stages, things to collect for trophies, friend challenges and unlockables for the king and cousins to wear. It also has 3 extra modes for each stage. Namco is really good at releasing FREE DLC for the game including a pacman stage and tekken 8D. it's hilarious fun but doess sometimes feel like a "pick up and play try to beat the stage, score, leaderboard, compare to friends" kinda game.
I luv it however.
Escape Plan...is just FUN lol but that's based on the demo...but there are nothing but positive reviews for it...plus it has dlc that add like ALOT of new content. |
Cheska_BriunePosted 9/1/2012 1:40:08 PM | Touch My Katamari is a good time waster, but I would without hesitating say to go with FFVII and Escape Plan. If you like RPGs or are just getting into them, FFVII is a good place to start. The graphics are dated of course, but the music, atmosphere, story, and polish remain pleasant and as every pleasing today as they did then. As for Escape Plan, its a fun and innovative experience in its own right. There is some great DLC after you complete the main course of the game as well, so it should keep your interest for quite awhile. Puzzles are brain scratching at times, but never overly head stabbing in difficulty and you'll feel rewarded after your trial and errors or first time accomplishments every time. |
Thirdrail1Posted 9/1/2012 2:43:57 PM | I'm a huge Katamari fan, but Touch my Katamari borders on being a mini-game. You'd actually be better off getting the PSP Katamari game. It was a much better game. I can't believe Touch my Katamari is not $9.99 at this point.
Escape Plan is great. It's a true Vita game, making excellent use of the system's various unique features. (Aside from the OLED, which is kind of wasted on a black and white game.)
I don't know what to say about FF VII that hasn't been said twelve zillion times already. You might as well ask, "So, how is this 'Coca Cola' I keep hearing about?" --- Understand this: Game reviews are written by people who think being a "video game journalist" is possible. |
