Two new releases and Vita is still flopping?

Two new games in Japan last week .. one a big RPG .. Ys. It even got up to #4. And what happen to vita sales? 14k
... not even as high as when project diva was out.

So much for the theory that good RPG will be system sellers in Japan.

Anyone who ever claimed Ys had system selling power was insane. It's a good series, but it's not nearly popular enough to move big hardware numbers.

The only RPG franchises that can actually move hardware are FF, DQ, KH, and Pokemon. And only mainline games from those franchises will do it.

It's now also losing against the Dreamcast in terms of life-to-date sales during the same time-frame.

In case anyone may be interested, here's a chart: http://i.imgur.com/Nni5b.png

Honestly, I'm really interested in how the Vita will overcome all this (low sales, low support, etc), as I still believe it can.

That's not really that significant as DC did pretty well when it first released. It was only after PS2 came out that it fell off the map.

I think the increase in sales was merely due to the GigaVolts seal of approval.

What? You pooped in the refrigerator? And you ate the whole... wheel of cheese? How'd you do that? Heck, I'm not even mad; that's amazing.

No. It has low sales just because of the PS2 announcement.

Plus, if you look at the chart, it is below almost everything except the wonderswan, and NGP, which are pretty bad flops.

No .. this is Wed .. Media Create data released day. It is news. People discuss news. If vita sold 100k, this news will still be posted and discussed.

The only reason why it is negative is .. of course ... vita is flopping in sales.
