Just got my PS VITA RIGHT NOW

#1GlobalCoolingPosted 10/3/2012 1:29:02 PM
What should I do first? Install update? Change settings? Anything you guys recommend changing (such as button controls instead of touch only controls on the home menu?)

Also, do all Vitas have "wobbly" D-Pads. I like how it feels when I press the D-Pad because it clicks, but if my thumb is just on it, it kind of wobbles around. Normal or not?

In chronological order:

1.) High five yourself!
2.) Install updates
3.) Change settings to buttons for menu controlling (you can still use the touchscreen!)
4.) Download some demos :D
5.) Add people in this topic :D

and yes the D-pad is kinda wobbly. Totally normal (:

Mine's wobbly too, I think it's normal.
I'd install updates first(But that's just me).
I also enabled menu controls with the buttons, but honestly I still use touch.

Okay thank you. I'm sure I'll just get used to it soon.

Will it give me a Wifi symbol thing always when I use Wifi? Will the Vita ever be connected to my house's Wifi and NOT give the symbol? Does it drain battery more to be connected to Wifi?

The top left corner of the screen shows whenever you're connected to wifi.
Like all other devices, using wifi drains the battery faster o:

What you should do first is return it and buy the new iPad instead.

This.

If you don't already have any Vita carts/games then have at least a $20 (preferably a $50) PSN card.

By the way, do you have the 3G or the Wi-Fi model?

iPad's (as well as all Tablets) are a complete waste of money. I'd buy a Netbook or Laptop over a Tablet any day, there more powerful, you can do more with them, they do everything a Tablet does but better and they're cheaper.

Tablet are a complete con, particularly the iPad. How can they release something designed to use the internet as it's main function yet have it not support flash?

It's just Wifi and I have Disgaea 3 with it.

How can I turn Wifi off?
