People can't accept that they're poor so they try to come up with these reasons to justify not getting a Vita/3DS to tell others.

it's not about the money, it's about is it worth the money. Just because you have a grand, doesn't mean you should buy a $800 cheeseburger in Hollywood, when McDonalds has it for a dollar...

Horrible comparison. We're talking about gamers and consoles here. If you're not a casual gamer than yeah debating on whether or not to spend 300$ on a Vita is understandable. But if you're a casual gamer or more, then the only question is money. I bought the Vita in a heart beat without considering a single factor, good or bad.

Not gonna take part in this argument but where exactly do you get the idea that Americans are rich? Yeah we're not exactly 3rd world, but millions of our citizens are living in poverty.

Of course, if being better than your own photocopies excused bad behavior, your ass wouldn't have gotten fired after last year's holiday party.

i work hard, pay my bills, never fall into debt, and save money in the bank. i'm not rich, just smart with my money. so i can splerge 2 maybe 3 times a year on something like a vita. matter of fact, i just bought a vita last night with a game and case. came out around $300.

What if they see no worth in buying a Vita? I mean it costs more or less like a PS3, and that system is selling like crazy, so price isn't an issue. Even the 3ds at $250 managed to move way more units than the Vita.

So IMO, the main issue the Vita is tanking worldwide is because it's not worth the price of admission, mainly because of this: http://i.imgur.com/jsS41.png

By global standards, an American in "poverty" is still considered wealthy.
