I got the update and enabled cloud syncing, but I can't find an option to do so. Unlike the PS3, I don't see it offered when I start a game nor do I when I hold my finger over it and go to the settings.

Go to the Media Manager. Cloud backups should be enabled.

It's in the Content Manager app. There's now a third option under "PlayStation 3" and "PC".

Oooooh, cool, thank you! I was expecting it to be setup the same as on the PS3. Now I can delete a few games :D

Thanks. That was driving me nuts trying to find it and it never even occurred to me to check there for some reason.

Personally I think this is the best thing about the 2.0 update and Plus. The ability to delete digital games without losing your save game. Something Sony should have been smart enough to include on day 1.

So if I back up saves onto the cloud, it's safe to delete some games to save space? The Vita save system has me really confused. Very different from the simplicity of the PSP and PS3.

Yeah, I'm confused about this, too. If I backup my save file to the cloud and delete the actual game from my Vita, will my trophy obtaining stats remain intact? For example, say I need to kill 100 guys for a trophy in a game, will that be preserved or will it be gone if I delete the game from my Vita. The reason I'm asking is that I thought I remember that this info was stored in the game data area on the PS3, which is separate from the saved data area on PS3, but I don't know if this also applies to Vita.

Once unlocked, trophies are independent from the save file. They're stored locally on the Vita and uploaded to Sony's servers when you sync data. AFAIK, you can only lose a trophy if you unlock it, don't sync trophies with the server and then not only delete the save but also reset your Vita to factory settings.

I don't mean the actual trophy, I mean the stats that build up to getting a trophy, such as "you need to win this many matches to get this trophy."
