"Free games on PS+ aren't free."

#11ORANGE666Posted 11/24/2012 6:16:39 PM
PS+ is usually only good for people going digital. The discounts you get for games is enough reason to get PS+ if you like jumping on deals. Plus the fact you get cloud saves, beta's, trials etc. Then you also get games. One year is only $50, that's only $4.16 a month... easily made up with discounts.

Basically, if you have both a PS3 and Vita, I would absolutely get the service. But if you only have a Vita, and don't buy digital much, imo its not worth it if you only want it for the free games.

That's great. Doesn't change that they aren't free.

If i've made the money I spent back already, i'm not spending any money on the entire service for the entire year. How is that not free again?

If you need further clarification, I recommend you look up how ownership works and also take some Economics courses.

So complaining about PS+ is the new fad on this board now? While I am a subscriber, the games AREN'T free!

Look at my sig for further hilarity related to this subject.

I might not own it, but i'm not paying for it.

Never said I "own" it for free. I get to use it as long as I want for free, which basically makes ownership irrelevant.

It seems impossible that there wouldn't be any games on PS+ that don't interest a subscriber, especially if they're enough of a gamer to consider PS+. And if there aren't, then maybe they shouldn't get it. But that's a fault of their own tastes, not the service.

If you are getting it for free. What is the 50 dollars for(or however long you sub for)? You are paying for a subscription that provides benefits(betas,60 minute full game demos, full games, cloud save, special discounts) none of it is free but it a great bargain. Also this is a silly thing to argue about.

The 50 dollars is simply to activate the service, they kindly give you that money right back with all the free content they offer that you would've paid for anyway.

I lend you my Ferrari for $50 a year. As long as you keep paying me, you can use it and keep it at your place. If you stop paying me, you can't use it anymore, but I'll keep the seat and mirrors in the same position for you if you ever decide you want it back.

"But it's not free guys!!! IT'S NOT FREEEEE!!"

What's with the consistent need to point how great of a deal plus is and how the games are free and **** ever since plus was released here? Is this some type of reassurance?

Like it's great you feel it's free or whatever. Yes, it's LIKE getting games for free, but it is essentially a glorified rental system and that's it. I don't know why people have to justify it and get heated every time some one points that out.

I enjoy plus, it's a great service, but then again I get it entirely for free... with no monthly cost for years to come >_>
