No, but the content that you get offsets it to the point where it might as well be.

You guys need to think of it this way. People think so 1 dimensional.

You are gaining "Access" to these games while you have a subscription. Plain and simple. Sure they say "Free" but look at everything else in the world that says "Free".

Free is always the main point sticking out, its to get your attention.

PS+ is a paid subscription that give you access to multiple benefits, one of which is free games.

The only scenario that is free is if you only used PS+ for the 3 month trial and play all the "free games" in the period and don't mind that you won't have them after 3 months.

The games are free, the ability to play them comes with a subscription to PS+ and is not free.

They're about as free as the movies and tv shows you watch on Netflix (i.e. as long as you have a subscription).
