And Beck's "Cities" won for Best Song in a Game in that same game. It isn't my favourite Vita game but I thought it did something unique and cool so I really don't mind it.

Was it well-deserved?

Me too. Gravity Rush also did something unique and cool but was much more of a game. Uncharted and NSMB2 were both solid games but they had been done to death before.

I really loved Sound Shapes, but it was too short. as for song, I was going for that or Journey, so I'm satisfied.

I can see how you would think it's short if you only play the campaign, death mode, and beat school... But if you factor in the time you can spend making your own levels and playing other people's levels, it's not short at all.

On the contrary, if they included too much single-player content, it would take away from the emphasis on creation and sharing. That's where the game has its legs.

Probably nothing, VGAs is basically a Microsoft PR machine besides a token Sony game here and there. All awards except game of decade was voted on by gaming press. Out of the four Sound Shapes was the most favored by the press.
Now Playing: Mugen Souls, Ragnarok Odyessy, P4G, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation, DW: Gundam 2
