It feels like there are more "kid games" than mature games for the Vita...

I am a 25-yr old gamer who has been looking for mature games on the Vita but have found it challenging.

Every store I go to I see stuff like Resistance, Black Ops, and Assassin's Creed 3: Liberation which are clearly trying to cater to teens who think that mindless blood and violence can replace fun and inventive gameplay.

Unfortunately, I don't see anything coming soon that really appeals to me. Persona 4 Golden is great but certainly nothing totally new and I loved Gravity Rush but besides that I'm unsure. I did pick up Katamari at launch but I really played that to death and that series, though inventive initially, is starting to feel a bit stale. I may look into Sound Shapes as I hear good things about that but I don't know too much about it.

Anyone have any suggestions for me? Thanks in advance!

How about dokuro?

It isn't a ''mindless'' game, its a puzzle game that actually requires thinking

Oh wow, I just google and Youtube searched that as I hadn't heard of that before... I thought it was Japan only, but GameFAQ's seems to suggest it's on PSN? How much is it? It's reminding me of another game or two, but I can't quite put my finger on what... it still looks pretty unique and fun in it's own right though.

$20 through psn ( digital download) , or for $12 more you can buy a physical copy from Play-Asia.com.

The imported version is in Japanese but it has English subtitles.

Any other suggestions?

Dokuro was definitely the type of thing I was looking for.

It's hard to say. What are you looking for?

Little King Story is a pretty deep and interesting experience. You build a down, and go out and have little battles using the people of your town who you've promoted to be fighters.

There's also Escape Plan, which is a puzzle sort of game where you are trying to escape from a level.

It'd would be helpful knowing what other kinds of games/genres that you like.

I guess I mostly just like unique experiences. I really, really enjoyed my first Katamari game, but now they're starting to feel very much the same.

As far as genres, I'm not that picky, but I do like games that make me think so the puzzle suggestions have been pretty good. I especially like puzzle platformers and such, rather than just straight out puzzle games.

Some reason I thought Little King's Story was still unreleased in the U.S. but I just did a search and found it's on the PSN store? Some reason I thought it was supposed to be a retail release. The original LKS was a lot of fun so I've got to imagine this one must be pretty good too. Considering they're only at the second game really it's not that the formula is starting to feel stale or anything yet either so I'll have to look into that.

So far this thread is honestly making me realize how much I need to look more into PSN... I've really just taken a look at what's out there in stores and that's where I've felt a bit let down.

Add Gravity Rush to your list of games to youtube (if you haven't looked it up).

As for PSN, there are a couple other really good Vita games. Sound Shapes comes to mind. Treasure of Montezuma is a straighforward puzzle game, but I honestly can't put it down once I start playing it.

There are other games that I can't think of, but next year, I'm looking forward to Soul Sacrifice as well as Dragon's Crown.

Here's a suggestion:

Stop being a douchebag and don't try to lump games into, "kiddie" or, "mature".
