What do you think Sony has to do to really increase the Vita sells?

The best thing to do now, is just discontinue the Vita, then rerelease it branded as the PSP2, find some way to support UMD and use pro duo. Otherwise it will just be Sony's last handheld.

The renaming idea is actually good. Do that, get MH and GTA, and then the "Vita" would sell great.

You guys seriously need to shut up with "more games" or "lolz Vita has no games". The 3DS & Wii U has less 3rd party support than the Vita and it's doing well. Clearly games isn't the issue.

Ok ... Then how about GOOD games?!?

Seriously, I was thinking of getting the wife a vita (she loves her DS) ... but there's NOTHING she'd actually play on it. Might as well waste the money on a 3DS. I didn't do either ... went with PS3 Lego LOTR and Cards Against Humanity.

And I DO understand that you could probably get Lego LOTR for vita, it's just not enough ... ya know? Sony needs to try to grab some of the DS crowd with more puzzlers while still pushing cross play for more gamer-esque titles. Shoot ... The wife would DEMAND a vita right this very instant if Sony could get them to allow Prof. Layton cross-platform.

So, because your wife doesn't know what's on the Vita and only plays Prof Layton, the Vita doesn't have good games?

Do tell on the "good games vita has" ... especially for the more casual crowd (which tend to be the ones that use handhelds). LBP? Maybe. Karting? What I'm trying to tell you is that Nintendo is your model for handheld sales due to their success. What has Nintendo done that other handheld makers have not? Sony is marketing the vita in a totally different way. They're trying to appeal to hardcore gamers with a handheld. What they need to be doing is appealing to DS/3DS owners IN ADDITION to pushing cross-play for more "hardcore" titles. I think Sony is greatly misunderstanding who their market is. PART of their market is PS3 owners, but handhelds are just more casual in nature. They need to appeal to the casual crowd. They seemingly aren't even trying for the casual crowd in their advertising.

I swear once I buy my Vita, the price is going to drop. Christmas money got me close to enough....and next month I will buy it and a week later it will drop.

Think if I return the vita and then rebuy it, i can get the 100 bucks back?

Oh, so you want good games for the casual crowd? You should have said so - I thought you meant simply good games. If it was the latter, I could have helped you.

No. There is a market for core gamers in the handheld space - it's just much smaller than the casual crowd. As a gamer, I want a proper gaming system - not one that caters to the casuals. If you want a system for your wife - get a 3DS for her.

I'm a core gamer and Vita is not for core gamers. It's seriously a badly written love letter to Sony fans and a joke to anyone else!
