What do you think Sony has to do to really increase the Vita sells?

This is an excellent piece of hardware. I didn't realize how antiquated the technology in my 6 year old PSP was until I started using the Vita. The web browser is infinitely superior, with music being able to be played just about all the time. My videos no longer have to be an overly specific format, and instead I can put them in their best appearance on my Vita without damaging the quality!

I will surely miss the options on my CFW PSP (though it isn't really going anywhere, to be honest), and the absolute worst thing about this is the lack of a way to play my UMDs on it. Don't get me wrong, UMD was a pretty crappy format, but I paid good money for those UMDs and now the only way for me to even play these games I already own is if I rebuy them. I just really, really wish Sony would have kept the ambassador program.

So, I have $100 to spend right now... and I'm in a bit of a dilemma! I think I need a new memory card to keep hold of all my music, but I would also like to get a few things. The first "new" Vita game I'm going to get is definitely Persona 4 Golden, but I'm also interested in Silent Hill: Book of Memories. But I would also like to get my two favorite PSP games over PSN (currently on UMD >_>) Tactics Ogre Let Us Cling Together, and Dissidia Final Fantasy. This would obviously be well over $100, that's why I would like your help.

tl;dr, would a 16gb card or even an 8gb last me? I love putting music and vids on my portable PlayStations, but I would not digitally buy a single Vita game. I would certainly buy some PSP classics that I missed though, this would be a good chance to get a Monster Hunter game.

You do know your psp still plays UMDs right?

16 gigs would probably be enough, but an 8 gig one you'd end up upgrading later so it's completely pointless. Personally I'd get the physical game and save up for the memory card later.

There needs to be an adapter for the memory cards. A price drop isn't enough because Sony will never drop the price to as low as regular sd cards. I think the memory cards is the key to holding off the pirates, the problem is consumers who buy games legitimately have a huge issue with the price. Sony can't have it both ways, fending off pirates while restricting how gamers use their Vita (ie cma, proprietary memory cards, auto updates).

Price drop to atleast $50 the 32 gig along with reasonable drops to the other memory cards. It doesn't have to be as cheap as SD cards but it still has to be cheaper.

Find some way to make it fit with the PS4 would be great when the PS4 releases, without alienating PS4 owners who don't have a vita(unlike GC and GBA multiplayer issues). I could imagine the Vita as an additional controller or a number of other things that would work great. Download play for Coop, get the PS4 game and be able to play coop with the vita without buying extra copies(but still allow online or local multiplayer so the Vita isn't a necessity).

Vita Price drop.

A few big titles along with some decent advertisements.

1. Price drop
2. Memory price drop

The Vita needs, in order of importance:
1) Good exclusives
2) Lower Price

It could use a lot of other things too, like cheaper memory cards/internal storage, but ultimately price and library are the most important things. At the moment, the Vita is expensive, and its best games are ports, obviously it will sell poorly.

More games? Maybe eventually release another version with built in memory and longer battery life with a lower price somehow?

I was so against getting a Vita before, but im getting one for Christmas still because I have Playstation All Stars for PS3 and I want to be able to play that on the go. Also, im sure Little Big Planet Vita will keep me occupied forever since most of the fun I find in LBP is creating. I only play user levels to get ideas. I heard that the average player online on that game at any given time is like 600-1000 lol.

Well yeah, before I get too far off topic,

What do you think Sony has to do to really increase Vita sells?

When do you think it will happen? Will it happen? The LBP Vita community needs to grow :[

These franchise need to come to the VITA in a decent VITA game translation:

Dead Space
Dragon Age
Fallout/Skyrim/Oblivion
Souls (FromSoftware)
A true VITA final fantasy
FF Type 0 VITA release
KHBBS Vol. 2

a true CoD console experience with wonderful campaign and at least 6 v 6 MP. (with Zombies)

If it still flops after that.. well.. then at least the devs and Sony tried..

Move to the 3DS, iOS/Android by then.

I know exactly what would sell Vita!

A uncharted prequel with forced gimmicks!
a littlebigplanet, that's exactly the same game, with some new gimmicks!
and a wipeout, give it four numbers at the end and pretend it's not the HD port but still allow it to cross play with wipeout HD...
Then make a interesting game with a lady that only kicks and flies around using gravity that a cat gave her or something, but find a way to make that boring.
Then port a bunch of ps2 and ps3 games over, give them lower res, water them down, add a gimmick!

if those don't sell Vita's, nothing will!
