Why did you buy the Vita?

My Vita Story:

I originally planned to buy a PS Vita at launch (the NA Limited Edition) because I wanted to play Ys Celceta and Final Fantasy X HD (and other soon to come JRPGs/Localizations etc). I even planned to use the $500 I won from an office NFL pool to pay for it.

However, I decided not in order to wait out the bugs, crashes, dead pixels, recalls and other consumer complaints etc that plagued the launch of the PSP and 3DS. Using them as examples, I waited to see if the hype would be lived up to.

Enter all the topics about flopping, no games, record Low sales numbers etc etc. I admit I was affected by this and decided not to get a Vita shortly after.

After my trip to Japan and seeing an unboxing video of the Cosmic Red and Sapphire Blue PS Vita and a gameplay video of Ys Celeta no Jukai, I just had to get a PS Vita. I missed out on getting the Hatsune Miku Limited Edition and my trip ended prior to the Red and Blue's release. After ordering memory cards, screen protectors, cases and a couple of games, I will have everything next week...and will be immersing myself in the world of Vita gaming :)

I have to say that the Cosmic Red PS Vita is absolutely beautiful and I am so happy I did not get the Crystal White one.

I've never gotten a launch system ever in my life. Got sucked up in the Vita hype here on the board.

Was a pretty poor decision. The only games I have truly enjoyed on the Vita so far are:

P4G
Zero Escape: VLR
MLB 12: The Show
Rayman Origins

And all 4 can be played elsewhere, though VLR is definitely quite a bit inferior on 3DS. Needless to say, I won't be getting a launch system again unless it comes with a MGS/ME/FF/RE, which will never happen

Rayman Origins is my fondest memory on Vita... that's why I refuse to buy it on PS3, it will ruin that memory. VLR is definitely the better version on Vita, since it doesn't have the game crushing glitch.

Audio/visual is noticeably better too.

And you are a smart man not to play it on the PS3. It's the same game, but on a big screen, with a real controller, with 4 player co-op.

don't tell me that! I know it's cheap and I can play it right now... just don't want to ruin the only good experience I had on Vita...

I really dont know why I bought it. There are no games on it that 'really' appeal to me. I guess I had a bit of extra cash laying around and I was willing to pay $300 to be able to use the second analogue stick for Gran Turismo

I am not going to remove this until it has been removed by me removing it.......does the word remove sound weird now?

I'm very selective about how I want to play some RPG games and such. The old Final fantasy's and Disgaea, tactics, stuff like that works better to me on a handheld. I've always loved handheld gaming so throwing my money away on it is just fine to me.

I had some cash to spare and was getting a little bored of my 3ds so I was like why not?
I'm playing P4G, VLR, NFSMW, NLKS and some PSP games.
