I find it hilarious that the exact same users who trolled this board for months saying "Vita has no games" are the same ones crying nonstop about people being unhappy about the lack of Wii U games on that board.

You mean like how you endlessly white knight the Vita for this issue, but try to troll the Wii U board with that exact same critique? Sounds like you're just as big a hypocrite there ;)

in addition, it has brand recognition. if my mom passed a poster of crash, kratos, master chief or marcus pheonix, she'd have no clue who they were. if she passed a poster of pikachu, link and mario, she'd know exactly who they were....she'd prolly call link, "zelda", but she'd know. you also have to take into consideration the target audience. now i'm not sayin, "hurr durr nin10do 4 kidz", of course they have mature games as well. but everyone knows that of the big 3, ninty is the most kid friendly. this is fact, and parents recognize this when picking up a system for their kids based purely on reputation, advertisement and their key franchises.

SERIOUSLY THIS... that's how my mom reacted to 3DS in GS store.. didn't bother with the VITA.

Same freaking thing with other parents I've seen on the stores. Hell they even play it right then aand there.

Although Sony has started to target a wider crowd with kiddy stuff and brain train stuff.. it just doesn't have the brand recognition of the big N and their popular titles.

Sad but yeah.. I still think Sony and the consumers has a place for the VITA.. guess it's a niche in relation to others.

That's why I'm starting to find Nintendo consoles boring. At least with Sony and Microsoft stuff you at least know you're going to see something new and not the same old, same old.

The 3DS got hammered by the Sony fanboys for the library initially, before the Vita launched. The DS did as well. As did the Wii. Eventually they all proved the critics wrong. The 3DS and DS got fantastic first and third party support, while the Wii got fantastic first party support and moderate third party support.

The libraries of the Nintendo systems has really been one of the big selling points.

The Wii got moderate 3rd party support? More like mediocre 3rd party support. By far the worst home console I have ever owned.

This is basically it. I'm sorry, but even with the new, more "mature" culture I don't see kids running up and screaming "Mommy, buy me that game with that wierd white guy with the axes and the fox with guns!"

Well to be fair, the 3DS has nearly double upcoming exclusives this year then the 3DS. The Wii U? Everyone is complaining about that, though the trolling has lighten up quite a bit since its release.
