The Wii U staying flat while everything else goes up is a concern. It looks like it's slow period equilibrium will be around 30 to 40 thousand.

Normally the 3DS would be dropping to about 100k next week, but it'll probably be 150k plus thanks to the Pokemon announcement.

Anyone know what spurred Vita's bigger than average increase?

So if Nintendo changed the name of the Wii - U, would they be pulling a U-Wii?

Although most of the big name launches in the latter half of 2012 come from Japan, the Vita has decent western support. Getting an Assasin's Creed game, CoD, and LBP is nothing to sneeze at. There's Ratchet and Clank and GoW too.

The problem in that list is that most come from Sony themselves and it doesn't fell like a lot of western devs have too much faith in the Vita. (And that Cod game is not something to sneeze at because its not worth that much.)

Radiant Historia is a amazing game and deserves more recognition.

Holy **** AC, stahp that

06./02. [3DS] Fantasy Life <RPG> (Level 5) {2012.12.27} (¥5.800) - 42.291 / 159.361 (-64%) <-- what's that? Is it like harvest moon?

Because style savvy was (as much as I hate to admit it) incredibly addicting, so I'm a lot more open to weird games now :/

Really? It didn't seem to increase the Vita sales to reasonable numbers nor stopping pretty much every gaming/technology news site/magazine to mark him as a flop

Is the effect only felt after some years or something?

Any kind of reaction by developers to sales will have about a year lag. Anything less than that and a game would be too far along to cancel. If sales were to pick up, once the developer deems it viable, it will take a while to make the game.

Everything from 2012 would have been in the pipe since before the Vita's launch. It wont be til summer this year that we really get an idea of how much effect the Vita's performance will have on third party support.

It's a safe bet though that Sony is having to pay a lot more money than usual in order to get companies to develop games for the Vita.

US/EU sales are much more relevant to how the system will be supported in our regions.

Other people post EU and NA ( NPD numbers ).

OK. I never seem to see those. Maybe those threads get bumped from the front page faster. Or maybe I just recognize yours more readily because it's the same TC and the same start to the topic title, and you've been doing it longer. Just seems like I only see US/EU threads very rarely.

Because those sales determine whatever or not a Japanese dev will support the Vita.

True, of course, but what gets localized is more relevant to the west than what gets developed, but stays in JP. (Yes, I am aware that some people import.)

So just because you don't care means everyone doesn't care?

I never said anything even remotely like that.

Wow you sure aren't the sharpest tool in the shed huh? Do you think that only the NA sales matter for you? haha you will see how much these topics matter when the launch list completely dries(already happening and this thing goes to the trash bin

Wow you sure aren't the sharpest tool in the shed huh? I never said that JP sales don't matter, only that US/EU sales are more relevant to those of us that live in the west.
