Is sales numbers really that important for you?

Back in the 90s, people argued about game quality, not how much they sold according to Kotaku charts.

It's really annoying to see 12-year olds playing economics by stating stuff like "Vita sold less than the 3DS. Sony has fallen, therefore" like it's anything of their business. That is one of the reasons why stuff like Pokémon and Call of Duty got so far by changing nothing — the players don't want to play anymore.

Sales are a critical factor in determining a system's third-party support. That's why the Vita's third-party support is so dire.

Not really. I never paid attention to the sales number, but what new games are being announced for the system.

Helps that I know Japanese though, so I have more things to look forward to.

I think sales are important enough that I like paying attention to them, but I don't think that they are worth all the crap that gets stirred up on here.

I think your name is smexy btw. I approve.

always assume everybody on the Internet is either a 12 year old, or a creeper in his mid 40's. The Internet makes more sense that way.

It's 2013: Standards have changed.

Sales are more important than quality. In fact, Sales determine quality.

Games that sell well=good. Games that don't sell well=bad.

Same goes for systems.

Sales=quality.
