Do you guys think the Vita is flopping because it doesn't have enough shooters?

Not enough great quality shooters..

IIRC 60% of VITA sales are from CoD.. or software ratio last neogaf check.

Imagine if it was actually an amazing VITA translation of CoD.

IDK about KZM. Just doesn't have the brand power of CoD. We'll see.

No, shooters are not very good on handhelds at all IMO.

I think it's because there isn't enough RPGs or platformers, or games in general at all, yet. They should have focused on a solid launch. Plus a lot of people are complaining about the SD card having to be sony rather than a cheaper alternative, and the lack of BC (despite everyone hating on UMD's when they were around)

Imagine if CODBOD was actually a great title.

Popular core games on handhelds (iOS/Android) are TPS and FPS: Modern Combat series and ShadowGun series..

The VITA can do better.. But isn't that what everyone says LOL.

LOL are you serious??

No, the Vita does not need shooters, it needs boatloads of solid niche games and rpgs, it needs dungeon crawlers, it needs monster hunters (and clones), it needs valkyria chronicles, valkyrie profile, valkyrie-ANYTHING!!

PSP was, and always will be a niche device. It got some of the best niche games this generation, and I think I put more time overall in my PSP than anything else. I -STILL- don't even have a Vita, and I can't see that changing any time soon if they keep releasing "western" games, because I couldn't care less about shooters or sports games; it's nice to have the choice, but you need to appeal to your core audience, eesh!!
