You guys act sarcastic, but in doing so you expose a lot of video game ignorance. What if Mario 64 WASN'T in 3D, and was a 2D platformer with new weapons and brighter colors??? What if Metroid Prime wasn't a First person 3D adventure, and was 2D with new weapons and brighter colors? What if Skyward sword had no motion controls, and the only new thing was new items and colors. What if Video games NEVER EVER CHANGED except for new weapons and colors?

Are new weapons and colors enough now???????? Thats called a $2.99 DLC pack! We were promised an open world MH, but they cut it due to technical limitations. MH deserves dynamic lighting, real time weather, physics based animation and terrain deformation, destructable plants and trees, and so much more. But we don't get any of that. We get the same game, but with 2 new weapons and a brighter color scheme. Because 3DS was the lead platform.

Are you aware of they new things they are implementing with Monster Hunter 4? It's not merely new weapons or brighter aesthetics. What you aspire for sounds nifty in concept but it isn't what the series is essentially about. Realism and graphics are nice, but they are the last things I consider in a game.

More climbable terrain and climbable monsters. Its cool, and I hope its an improvement. Its just not the huge generational leap I was hoping for. I was thinking harpoons and more elaborate traps would be cool too. You know when you fight Jhen, and fall off, you pull yourself up by rope? How cool would it be if you could do that to any monster. That is, harpoon and try to pin the monster with ropes. Imagine the crazy antics. I think all franchises need to evolve over time. Many have done so brilliantly, and they are all the better for it. Just not MH.

they are implementin a lock-on in the 3ds MHs(well pseudo, from what i've seen you dont get a permanent lock-on but it takes ur attention to the Monster instantly)

easy mode camera lol and btw, dont get me wrong, i still love MH to DEATH, but they are turning it into easy mode slowly
