I think the nvidia shield is gonna beat both of them :P

That thing is even harder to carry around than the Vita. Not good for a handheld.

The 3DS and PSVita are both outstanding systems. Wally the Equality Weasel says so.

It will almost certainly pick up momentum, but it will never outsell the 3DS.

Lifetime maybe. Vita will sell better then psp and 3DS will sell worse then DS but really it could go either way.

In the short term it's obviously not going to outsell 3DS.

No. But I haven't really seen Nintendo as being in direct competition with either Sony or Microsoft for some time, so it really makes no difference to me.

Sony let MH and DQ slip their fingers and all their US-focused spinoffs aren't very good: No it won't outsell 3DS. If they had another huge fan favoirite like Pokemon, maybe, but once again that's on 3DS...

LOL, not a snowballs chance in hell, ESPECIALLY in Japan (where 3DS frequently outsells PS Vita 20:1). Vita is dead in the water right now.. 3DS could literally stop selling any more copies right now and it would still take Vita a few years to catch up. Only the most die-hard delusional Sony fanboy thinks Vita has ANY chance at outselling the 3DS.

Yes because nothing will ever make vita sell at a faster rate right? Go away troll, 3DS had a price drop vita didn't, that's the only reason 3DS is selling so much more and a single price drop doesn't guaranty a gen lead no matter how desperate or early it was.

Demondog is right. The sales stats clearly show this and they always have. He also forgot to mention that releasing different colored 3dses in the same week where the Vita gets games will also cause the 3ds to sell more.

Nintendo knew their system was average at best compared to the Vita that's why they did a price drop just before the Vita's release.
