Region-free is frequently touted as being one of Vita's major advantages over 3DS. I'm curious to find out what percentage of Vita owners actually make use of this feature.

(I am aware that the percentage of importers on GF would be much higher than in the general population).

Keep in mind that imports do not have to be from Japan, importing from whichever of North America or Europe is not your home region also counts.

Personally, I own 3 import titles for Vita:

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva F
Dokuro
Tales of Innocence R

Hatsune Miku and Tales of Innocence R are both among the most fully-featured titles for the system and it's a shame these types of quality games aren't getting published here. I really think there's been a lot of missed opportunities for PSP and Vita in general in terms of localization and I'm glad the option to import games exists.

Not yet, but after P4G, Project Diva f is definitely the next Vita game I'm getting.

I currently have Mahjong Fight Club and am waiting for EDF.

I kinda want to check out Hatsune Miku and Senran Kagura but I'm waiting to find good prices on those.

If you can read katakana, yes. Without it may be a bit more annoying, customizing your style in particular will require guesswork (though on normal the game doesn't seem to be very hard so it may not matter). You can also always use a walkthrough if you get stuck, there's one on GF.

Basically, if you were able to survive the Radiant Mythology titles, you'll be fine with minimal guide usage. It's a little easier to figure out than most Tales games because there's a "story recap" function that tells you where to go next (in Japanese, but they highlight important stuff in yellow / green, like names of places you need to go or people you need to talk to).

FFType-0

Not a Vita game, though I'm considering importing this if it doesn't get announced in the next 6 months. I already have a lot of imports for PSP.
