Erm...neither? It's like Phantasy Star Online + Gods Eater Burst with a meaningful "Are you evil or good" system that affects whether you fall to darkness or are a warrior of light. --- Now playing: Zero Escape (Vita), Book of Memories (Vita), Kingdom Hearts: DDD (3DS), Persona 3(PSP) Eagerly awaiting: Ragnarok Odyssey,Liberation
Gods Eater meets a magic-only build in D. Souls. Kind of. Definitely nothing like either Bayonetta or Darksiders though. --- JRPG fans, support our struggle: http://chn.ge/SsowWy Join our cause: https://www.facebook.com/OperationDemonBane
The concept is the same, but even MH and God Eater gameplay are pretty different. MH is much more 'realistic' whereas God Eater (and this, from what I've seen) drop that off a bit for more flashy/fast-paced combat. I prefer the latter to MH.
On the other hand, I kinda wish they'd actually take a tip from MH where exploring the map and actually LOOKING for the monster you need to hunt is more entertaining, lol. --- https://twitter.com/burucchi - My Twitter account, also known as the place where I blog about videogames and anime.
