Franchises that are praised by the general, but you dislike with a passion

Call of Duty, Halo... well just about every FPS.

Skyrim (don't hate it, but it got REALLY boring after a while)

The Sims

Can't really think of anything else atm.

always assume everybody on the Internet is either a 12 year old, or a creeper in his mid 40's. The Internet makes more sense that way.

Yeah, "hate with a passion" is a little strong, but my list would look something like this:
Pokemon - Two versions of games seems like a scam... And it's not even made by Capcom.
Zelda - Never could get into the series, and I've never been able to finish any of the three games I've bought.
Tekken - Don't care for character designs.
Soul Caliber - SC2 was fun, but nothing since. Asteroth and Cervantes were cool, but that is about it.
Metal Gear Solid - Interactive movie with stupid plot twists.
Assassins Creed - Do the same thing over and over.
Final Fantasy - Series has always bored me, but I am not a huge RPG fan. The games I played on PS1/2 suffered from the MGS syndrome with too many cutscenes.

I dislike 3D Zeldas (I love the GBA games) with a fiery passion. The game is full of so many interesting ideas that fall flat because you're required to follow a predetermined scheme in order to advance.
Yes that hook is good .. but what if I don't want to use it? Yeah the wolf mode is also cool .. but wait it controls terribly. Skyward Sword requiring motion controls? HECK NO.

All shooters save TF2, especially Halo.

...as opposed to an average game.

Almost every FPS since Counter Strike. For some reason I can only get into Counter Strike and Halo, everything else just seems like one of those re-skinned.

Have you played Halo 4? ive been thinking about picking it up.

No, sorry I haven't. I got rid of my Xbox after odst. I kind of want to buy a new one to try halo 4 though.

Can't say I have many that I can think of. Honestly most games I don't like tend to be games that fall into genre's I don't enjoy in the first place. The games could be great for all i know but I don't care because they are genre's I hate in the first place. I'll name one series of games I don't like TES, FO3/NV but that's because that genre is boring as heck to me.

Elder Scrolls for me. They feel like MMOs without the MMO aspect. I'm okay with open world, but ES games just feel shallow to me. Big, but shallow.

That's about it, really.
