Sold 8 Vitas at GameStop

Actually, flopping means failing badly to live up to expectations. It's also used, among others, in sports and entertainment.

The thing is, everyone has different expectations of something. Not everyone cares if their precious console sells a bundle, most players just care about playing games and having fun. You're applying 'flop' solely to commercial expectations, ignoring other expectations... that's also a valid way of calling something a flop, just not the ONLY way.

How dare you suggest that the Vita is flopping. How. Dare. You.

The Vita is doing fine. The video game business is like a long, slow race rather than a short, quick race. Japandoesn'tmatterwaituntilE3.

You're wrong here Genocide. A flop is only arbitrary insomuch as the definition for flop, e.g. only selling 1 million units, only selling 5 million, etc.

A single person cannot dictate whether or not a system is a flop. It's a community-wide thing.

No, the exact definition of flop is 'to fail completely'. Which means a console 'flops' only based on WHAT it's flopping at. Sales wise? Could be. Entertainment wise? That depends ENTIRELY on what a player likes. There's no 'community agreement' on whether games are universally good or bad, heck, single games' communities are often divided in haters and lovers. Therefore, whether Vita has flopped or not DOES depend on what expectations exactly we're talking about and WHO has them.

For those who care about sales, again, it may have flopped... but for those who don't give a **** about sales and only care about finding and playing games they like? That depends solely and entirely on the individual, because there's no such thing as community-wide agreement on a game's quality. If there was, we wouldn't need demos and reviews to form opinions.

Go argue with Merriam-Webster, then. Their definition of 'flop' is what I used. Also, replying with two words? Nice way of saying 'I don't have an argument, so I'll just go NO U and pretend it's a valid counterpoint'.

Ultimately, when it comes to a gaming system, what matters is: when playing games on it, are you having FUN with them?

Anything else is just worthless tripe that only people who invest in companies, and thus actually have a material interest in, should care about. Players should care about playing games, and whether doing so is fun for them. If they aren't having fun playing an ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM, designed to ENTERTAIN its players, then that system TRULY has flopped.

There are 6,627 GameStop stores located in the United States and Canada, meaning that if GameStop was the only location selling Vitas, each store would sell about 1 Vita every 0.959 weeks, meaning about 1 Vita is sold every 7.302 days.

How exactly do 0.959 weeks equal 7.302 days? It's one Vita per 6.713 days, of course that doesn't change anything about the fact that the TC is a complete joke and obviously lying.
