Remember when Ken Levine (Irrational Games) awkwardly "announced" Bioshock Vita

He seemed pretty nervous, and basically spends the first 3 minutes confessing his acceptance of the Playstation Move. At the very end, he pulls out the "NGP" and announces that Irrational Games has been making a Bioshock title for it. This kind of support is surprising in hindsight.

This interview paints a radically different picture:

This is old, but having a portable bioshock that doesn't sacrifice anything from the franchise would be nice. It's weird that the game went from "we're making it now", to "it actually doesn't exist".

That guy admitted as much that the announcement was made to give some moral support to sony, and not a firm pledge.

In other words, sony asked him to help hype the system and he agreed to it just to thanks sony.

I'm not interested in the game,

but wouldn't it be smart to finish working on the new PS3 bioshock first, then after that is released work on the VITA version instead of shoveling it off to a company that doesn't know what they are doing. like the COD vita game
