Negative. Nice damage control, but it made no sense and you made it quiet apparent with this post. The fact that you refer to them as lyrics is showing. The fact that when someone else mentioned it, you started talking about meme images. Angry guy=/=crying guy. Mentioning Boxxy is like mentioning Obama when someone asks about president. You don't know anything else. I understand this is because you're from Italy. Of course, English is not the primary language there, and no matter how good you're at it, things will be lost in translation, which is quiet apparent with all of your posts. And Pokemon is pretty much the very first example of in-game DLC. The only saving grace it has is that said DLC is at least free (at least if you ignore the bus fare and, sometimes, admission ticket to the Nintendo events, and in the case of online unlocking, the cost of Internet connection - did I mention most of Europe still pays Internet traffic per minute of connection, in intervals of 15 minutes? That ain't cheap, bud). Source for all of that. Let's excuse the fact at all the BS you tried to spin for it. But if you like this business model, then next time Capcom churns out a game where 12 characters in the roster are locked away and can only be unlocked months later/by paying/by having another game on, say, Vita and connecting the two (which is actually one way to unlock everyone in SFxT, but does require you to own the Vita game AND the PS3 game), remember that this kind of business model is, at its root, the same one as Pokemon's. The only difference is how much you pay. Sounds like more mindless complaining about everything with you Mr. Frank Castle.
Oh, nice way to dodge my last part about not understanding a simple sentence. --- The ability to be a doctor is insignificant next to the POWER of the Force.

All data for Pokemon is built in the game. Otherwise you wouldn't be able to, you know, face trainers that have Pokemon you can't legally catch in the game. Additionally, with cheat devices or, in Mew's case, the Safari Zone glitch, you can catch every pokemon in the game, regardless of version... INCLUDING the normally event-only Mew. Which means all the data is on disc already, and when they 'give' you a Mew, or a Celebi, or a Deoxys, et cetera, they're really just 'unlocking' a copy of it. Which makes sense, because if that material wasn't there already and you battled someone who has one of those Mons, all you'd get is garbage graphics and glitches on screen if you didn't have the data to correctly display them. Same thing happened with Capcom's SFxT; where fans, suspicious about it after the DLC disgrace with Dragon's Dogma, where all of it was on-disc already, hacked the game and found that the 12 extra characters were on disc already, just hiding behind a paywall. The 'Extra characters DLC' that Capcom churned out was really just an unlock key to 'let' you use characters you already paid for since they were on your regularly purchased disc. It's just plain bilking 20 more dollars off you by taking advantage of how gullible people are when it comes to DLC. The only difference between Capcom and GameFREAK is that GameFREAK is at least honest enough to give you the walled content for free, instead of charging you - but of course, the cost to actually get there is on you. As for source for the pay-per-minute? http://www.tre.it/tariffe/superweb-time 90 cent per hour, counted in 15-minute intervals. Details are all there. This is the absolute cheapest offer available in Italy, and it has one of the worst territory coverages around, due to Tre being a minor Internet provider. Also, it is severely limited as it uses the same technology as cellphones for connecting, meaning that heavy weather or lots of net usage by cellphone users will severely cripple connection speed... meaning you can only achieve top speed when everyone's asleep. Every other offer either costs more or counts total traffic, with Tre's basic (and once again, cheapest available) offer being this: http://www.tre.it/opzioni/internet-con-chiavetta/super-internet-100MB You read that right, the most affordable offer in Italy caps at 100MB per day. AND if you go past the 100MB cap? You pay 60 cent per each single MB I hope that was enough to paint the picture here. Is that enough for source for you or do you need a nice diagram with stick figures? Negative. Nice damage control, but it made no sense and you made it quiet apparent with this post. The fact that you refer to them as lyrics is showing. The fact that when someone else mentioned it, you started talking about meme images. No, I started saying that my 'overuse of memes' was specifically use of MEMETIC IMAGES, not memes in general. Because I - wait for it - actually did use only images there. Also, I referred them as lyrics because that's what I was talking about. Pay attention. What I was saying is that I DID READ THE ENTIRE GODDAMN ORIGINAL SONG. And guess what those would be called? Lyrics. You apparently mistakenly thought I was referring to only that specific memetic mutation as 'lyrics'. That's not the case. --- **PS3 ID: GenocideHeart - Vita ID: VR-Jaguarandi** "You forgot to buy Warp Wire, didn't you?" --Nevius
Also, just for the record, the user jringo, which was the one I exchanged memes with to begin with, is the one who did it right. Look over the memes he posted to see what I mean. Sounds like more mindless complaining about everything with you Mr. Frank Castle. Feel free to go to the SFxT board and mention how the "DLC" was all on-disc and a scam, and watch the boards explode with rage. Sorry to bust your bubble, but I was far from being the only one enraged with Capcom doing this crap, first with Dragon's Dogma, then with SFxT. People also blew up over it happening in Mass Effect 3, where it turned out the Prothean DLC was already on disc. People detest this kind of business model unless it's free. And even when it's free, most people will be unamused and (rightfully) question why, if it's already all in the game, couldn't they simply activate it instead of keeping it hostage to be released at their leisure. With how much video games cost nowadays, it is very hard to justify paying $70 or 70 Euro, depending on place, to buy what is essentially an incomplete product. This is a valid complaint, unless you live somewhere with money growing on trees or are a rich kid.
Weren't you the one who just now claimed that my being Italian makes it very easy for things to be 'lost in translation no matter how good I may be', to paraphrase you? Make up your mind. Either it's me not understanding, or it's something being lost in translation, in which case it's not my damn fault if languages are incompatible (which they would be since Italian is a latin-based language, while English is anglo-saxon, and closer to German than to Italian or Spanish, for instance). You can't have the damn cake and eat it, too. --- **PS3 ID: GenocideHeart - Vita ID: VR-Jaguarandi** "You forgot to buy Warp Wire, didn't you?" --Nevius
And with this, let's lay this whole thing to rest. At least, if something good came from this whole debacle, it is that the resident trolls all dogpiled me and left the rest of the board alone... even a moment's peace comes at a premium on this board. -_- --- **PS3 ID: GenocideHeart - Vita ID: VR-Jaguarandi** "You forgot to buy Warp Wire, didn't you?" --Nevius

You should see the Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII board. It might be the one board that makes this one look like a haven of sanity and common sense. I'm not going to buy that game, but the amount of trolling and fanboying over there is just... yeah. And what isn't one of those two is inane topics like: http://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/681990-lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiii/65466733 ...yeah. I think my post on that one sums up how I felt about the whole LR board. I stick around only because a couple posters, like Elice, are actually pretty fun to talk with, but the rest of the board... ay caramba. -_- --- **PS3 ID: GenocideHeart - Vita ID: VR-Jaguarandi** "You forgot to buy Warp Wire, didn't you?" --Nevius |
