and monster hunter is primarily the reason, new monster hunter comes out there (not rerelease or port) and system sales go nuts.... gave devs then make more games for that console because the install base is pretty good
infact japan matters so much that without them the psp wouldnt have many of the great games that were on the system
.... now if your a fanboy who sits around playing madden or cod all year and nothing else (not saying thats you)...but to those people japan dosnt matter

also didnt realize that he meant for 1 week... i figured a 250k sales spike across a few months was realistic... sorry for falling for the troll haha
also its not just the psp... most of the newest more innovative games are from japan (ni no kuni, rhythm heaven, any of those 3 wii rpgs
granted theyre not system sellers... but its those games that keep a guy like me gaming after 30 years
