Does anyone know how long it will last? Is there any reason to pick up the first Dissidia over the 2nd?

None that I know of. The second game is basically the first with an extra 6 chapters. The mechanics have been changed up a bit too, so the second game is loads better than before. The sale goes on for two weeks.

thanks for the help. think I'll pick up this and final fantasy vii. How hard would it be to move my save file from my psp, it's hacked and not updated.

I actually agree. 012 lost *any* competitve value the 1st one had. But if you want to play around with friends or just play the game's various modes, 012 has more options.
