more proof that vita remains a very viable platform for devs

"P4G sold more than 300k" so did RE:R and others.

Where did you get your numbers from?

"Ragnarok Odyssey 250" just like AC3L, that number is shipped, not sold. And even then, 250k not that impressive for one of the very few original games the Vita has.

You realise that shipment is relative to demand, right?

"COD sold more than 300k" once more with a bundle, and for the brand name alone with should have sold much more, alas the game was horrible.

How much did Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 sell on the Wii? I bet it's less than CoD:D.

One more thing to add: Neither Ragnarok Odyssey more Persona 4 have released in PAL territories yet.

Really? Really?? OK then.

and here comes the obligatory killjoy posts

"P4G sold more than 300k" so did RE:R and others.

so a relatively niche game that was out for less time sold the same as a big name game that was out for far longer, cool.

"AC3L sold 600k" with the bundle from black friday, that number is not impressive. If there was a bundle with any game for the 3DS that included a peripheral and had costed 50$ less than a new 3DS, do you think it would sell more or less than that?

it was impressive to ubisoft's CEO yves guillemot and that's all that matters.

"COD sold more than 300k" once more with a bundle, and for the brand name alone with should have sold much more, alas the game was horrible.

"Ragnarok Odyssey 250" just like AC3L, that number is shipped, not sold. And even then, 250k not that impressive for one of the very few original games the Vita has.

there would've need to be demand for them to ship more duh, and for a new IP and a niche game it is impressive.

"3DS is not for true gamers" "True gamers" get any system that has games they want, which also explains why the Vita sells so bad.

did i say it's not for true gamers? im saying it has more non true gamers than true gamers get your facts straight

And out of the top of my head: Inazuma Eleven Go 2: Chrono Stone - Neppuu / Raimei has sold in Japan only more than 400k and Fantasy Life sold in 3 months more than 200k, so there goes that theory that they only will buy "animal crossing, mario or zelda ".

oh so one of the biggest game in japan sold 400k (only), doesnt really say anything.

Nope, not always. In theory, yes, but stuff is overstocked all the time.

what, no, not all the time, only when you misjudged the market and overshipped like the wii U did.

Yes, because every single game (or item) ever made completely disappears from the shelves once it's shipped. No product ever remains on the shelf and doesn't get sold. Like the Vita, which you can still find launch bundles of sitting behind the glass cases advertising a free game offer that ended in May 2012.

Great logic right there.

how old are you? if the shipment is gone or when it's low you ask for a another shipment, you dont wait until it is complelely gone from the shelves, unless the demand is higher thsn the supply

Such so you know a lot of those sales aren't from NA because as of 1/1/13 ragnarok odyssey sold less than 30 thousand copies (physical) and persona 4 golden barely sold more than 50 thousand (physical) so unless there was a huge rush of gamers in January most of those sales are from Japan. Which this board says doesn't matter.

Yes, because the initial shipment of every product out there always sells enough to warrant another shipment, amirite?

no not always, that is why some overshipped, but it doesnt happen all the time only when you misjudged the market which i doubt ragnarok odyssey did.
