more proof that vita remains a very viable platform for devs

monster monpiece and demon gaze

Monster Monpiece had 25k the first week and didn't make the chart second week in Japan, so it must have been under 5k. So it's not going to reach 50k lifetime.

Demon Gaze had 25k and 10k week 2. It will probably be in the 5k range at best this week. 50k is doable but that's about as good as it gets.

So your two shining examples of success include one game that's going to lose money and one that will at best break even. How does that prove developing is viable?

So if Nintendo changed the name of the Wii - U, would they be pulling a U-Wii?

So it's a nice title to the overwhelming majority of gamers but a big name to a relatively small group of individuals?

How is that different?

(total) niche = no one knows or heard about it except a select few
relatively niche = casuals dont know about it but the hardcore knows and the fans eat them up
not niche = both casuals and hardcore heard, knows and eat them up

Okay...

"Relatively" niche is still a lot worse than mainstream as far as companies who are trying to make money are concerned.

Lol, no one likes TC.

He should leave while we still allow him to.

Goon claims 90k to 70k is "70% drop in sales"

Siliconera has reported months ago that Persona 4: The Golden sold 260k in Japan alone. I imagine that the game has atleast crossed the 300k mark in Japan alone.

With all the hype P4G got in America I'd guess it has atleast sold about 100k. With reports of Ragnarok Oddysey selling 100k in the US alone it's only a given since P4G is a LOT more popular.

So I think it's fair to estimate it has atleast sold 400k world wide but, these are just my thoughts.

Vitassurance at its finest. Sony can admit the vita is bombing and needs more games but clowns on here know better. For a CoD and AC game those sales are horrible.

Tell me, does Otaku take breaks from trolling the Wii U board to come here, or is this a regular thing?

While we don't know exact sale numbers, these games have done relatively well for the developers and their expectations based on install base.

I see TC is progressing through his troll transformation well. Seemed like your average weird gamer wanting people to join his otaku fan club and now he's making VItassurance topics. If your VIta is as good as you say it is, why are you not playing it instead of seeking attention here?

Fanboys are a cancer to gaming but Sony fanboys are a particularly aggressive and repulsive form.

3DS might've sold more but the majority bought it for animal crossing, mario or zelda only, most real gamers bought the vita

That line was completely unnecessary and down right insulting.

As of 1/1/13 ragnarok odyssey sold less than 30 thousand copies (physical) and persona 4 golden barely sold more than 50 thousand (physical) in NA.
