They did; at launch, the next cheapest BRD player was over a thousand bucks as compared to the $600 PS3; I see no reason why people wouldn't just buy it as a bluray player. Who in the **** is going to buy gaming systems purely for their media capabilities? They buy them for the GAMES. What distinguishes a particular multimedia device as a "game system" aside from it's marketing? Unless it's a device that does nothing but play games, it's no more a game system than an iPod or a smart-TV with game apps. Except that my statement that I bought a Vita for a specific game is a fact. And my statement that Jimi Hendrix hiding in my closet is also a "fact" of the same quality. You stating the Vita has no system sellers is a personal opinion. No it isn't. The Vita's sales are abysmal, as are it's software sales and it currently has no particular game that can be proven to be selling any systems with any consistency whatsoever.
