I've had 4G tether through my phone the entire time I've had my wifi Vita, so I'm good here. Also the dev kit and redesign sketches are the same. So for now it's a baseless rumor.

No 3G Vita in Canada and doubt the 4G will come to canada.

Though I wouldn't be mad if it did. If I really wanted to I can tether it to my phone for mobile(though I have to pay extra) but my plans cheap $29+tax with 5 gigs of data.
